I offer a range of school packages, where the aim is to integrate into the school community and engage students, staff and parents. As an artist in residence, I will be helping your school to develop its creativity and an appreciation of how creativity can be influential in the wider world. My visit can involve:
1: A large-scale, integrative mural project, aimed at getting the staff and students excited about the power of art, its capacity to bring people together and its capacity to enrich, engage and inspire.
2: A series of art workshops, tailored for key stages 1, 2 or 3, aimed at developing observational skills and different artistic techniques for achieving realism and impressionism.
3: A series of engaging assemblies and evening talks for students, staff, and parents, aimed at encouraging a new way to look at art and creativity. Central to this will be illustrated examples from my own experiences of working as an artist abroad, in such places as Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and Russia, where my art was used as a way to tackle animal poaching.
The cost of these visits will vary, and will depend on the number of days mural painting (£250/day) and workshops (£300/ day due to preparation time and material costs). The talks and assemblies are at no additional cost.
